SWINE FLU LATEST

Australia is worried about Swine flu virus. Until today there are 91 suspected cases in the whole country plus 22 people who were in contact with some other who tested positives to Swine flu so Health authorities are checking them.

Pharmacies are selling face masks and they have a plenty supply of Antiviral drugs. The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has advised Australians to think about traveling to Mexico.

However Olympic diver Mathew Mitchang and his diving partner are in Mexico. They participated in a world diving event.

According with Federal Health Minister. Authorities now have power to detain people with symtoms of the virus.

MY LAST HOLIDAYS


My holidays were pretty quiet I was at home most of the time except the Saturday of Easter week I went with my family to the Easter show.

We caught the bus at 11:00 a.m. at Rockdale station it took about 45 minutes traveled to Home bush Olympic Park. When we arrived we met our friends and together we went into of that amazing place.

We were visiting all the stands first and ones of the most interesting were of the animals, we sow lot of them and our friends kids were so happiest feeding some of them, bath in some places we were moving slowly because the crowd. Then no longer had we felt tired and hungry in that moment we knew all of as needed a break, so we found a place and we had lunch. Everyone one brought same food and we share it, well we had a really good lunch.

In the afternoon we enjoyed same shows and I was interesting in the competence of wood chop. The world’s best was competing for the title of world champion in five events:

-Single handed sawing
-double handed sawing
-Tree felling
-Standing block
-Underhand

The ladies International Relay had Australian, USA and Canadian teams. The title was given to USA.

The last place we visited was the theme park. It was fan and exiting especially for kids then we took same photos and we decided it was time to back home.

However the day wasn’t enough to see the whole place bath it was a great experience and we had a wonderful day

ANZAC BISCUITS

1 cup rolled oats, 1 cup sifted plain flour, 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed, ½ cup coconut, 125g butter, 2 tablespoons golden syrup, 1 tablespoon boiling water, 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda.

METHOD:

Combine oats, sifted flour, sugar and coconut together in a large bowl.
Melt syrup and butter together in another bowl.
Stir soda with boiling water and mix into melted butter and syrup.
Stir mixture into dry ingredients.
Place rounded teaspoons of mixture onto a lightly greased oven tray (about 5cm apart).
Flatten out with a fork.
Bake in a slow oven (160˚c) for about 20minutes or until biscuits feel a bit firm. Loosen biscuits and cool on wire trays.
This mixture makes about 25 biscuits.
